The Critical European Studies workshop provides a forum for scholars and activists to meet and discuss critical theoretical and empirical perspectives on the configuration of European capitalism, the EU and political resistance. Workshop events were held at the Urban Library (Lviv, Ukraine), Olive Initiative (CEU, Budapest), the Goethe-Universität in Frankfurt (Germany 2017), University of Greenwich in London (UK 2016), at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona (Spain 2015), and at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (Netherlands 2014) and is organised by the Critical Political Economy Research Network (CPERN).

Over the six years we have been supported by the Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung, the Arbeitskreis kritische Europaforschung (AkE/AkG), BISA-IPEG, the Greenwich University Business School, the Transform! network and the Open Learning Initiative at the CEU.

The website provides an overview of the workshops, summary of activities and content, and is an online forum where discussions can continue and be joined by those who could not attend in person – or did and want to carry on; it is aimed to keep discussions alive between the annual meetings.

Thank you for visiting our forum and we look forward to your contributions!
